Gillian is the chaplain at St Aidan’s Anglican Girls’ School in Brisbane. She is an Anglican priest with tertiary qualifications in Japanese, Law and Theology.
Prior to becoming a school chaplain, Gillian served as a parish priest in a regional parish, and as an associate priest with St John’s Cathedral in Brisbane. She was also Executive Research Assistant to the Primate. She is a lifelong Anglican with a keen interest in the future shape of the church.
Gillian has served on Diocesan Council and is currently a member of the General Synod Church Law Commission, and the Diocesan Audit and Risk Committee. She is chair of the Brisbane Diocese’s Domestic and Family Violence Working Group and Provincial Link for the International Anglican Women’s Network.
Gillian works with the Society of the Sacred Advent, an Anglican religious order. She is part of the Transitional Chapter of the Society and is committed to the ongoing contribution of religious orders to the life of the Anglican Church and its schools.
Gillian’s interests include gardening, bushwalking and her dogs, and she is a dedicated baker of sourdough bread.
