Chaplains are called to be present, available and responsive to others. Yet (often) working as a team of one and serving in a ministry where the results may not be seen for years can make caring for themselves particularly challenging.
Practical strategies for sustainable ministry
In this practical ASA webinar, Canon James Tabor will explore the distinctive pressures of chaplaincy with honesty, insight and humour, drawing on his chapter in Incarnational Ministry: A Practical Guide for Chaplains.
James will consider why presence is valuable ministry, how busyness can undermine availability, and why rest, relationships, boundaries and effective diary management are essential to sustaining a healthy ministry.
The webinar will encourage chaplains to prioritise their own wellbeing so they can continue serving others with energy, purpose and hope.
